The profession of Cooking/Culinary Art Technician belongs to the welfare arts and is one of the most sought-after professions nowadays, as restaurant businesses multiply and continuously specialize in the context of tourism development and requirements of modern social life. This specialtys graduate should be trained in tasting and should be familiar with the equipment and operation of a modern professional kitchen; he/she should also be imaginative, have taste, style and sophistication, in order to produce both classic and original dishes.

OCCUPATION DESCRIPTION
The Cooking Art Technician Graduate is a specialized professional, capable of dealing responsibly and autonomously the following topics;

Quality control, maintenance and utilization of food
Food Hygiene
Preparation of meals of every form and variety
The perfect organization and management of the kitchen
Preparation of provisions for the process of cooking
The proper composition of each menu, based on the current market and health terms/conditions
The presentation and decoration of dishes
The art of Pastry Making

Cooking Art Technicians are able to work in Hotel companies and Catering form and structure companies, both in Private and Public Sector. Their acquired expertise enables them to take charge of the organization and functioning of a modern kitchen, regardless of its size and type.
