Grand opening of the Pan-European Traveling Jewelry Exhibition of P.L.E.( European Parliament of Jewelry Schools ) at VTI Volos Municipality - KEKPA - DIEK
On Thursday 29/6/2023 at 20.00, alongside the annual Exhibition of students work ten schools from seven countries with a long tradition in the field of Silver and Goldsmithing from all over Europe are participating in the large traveling Jewelry exhibition for the school year, 2022-2023 which will be hosted at the I.I.E.K of Volos Municipality until 29/9 2023.
The I.I.E.K of Volos Municipality has been a member of the European Parliament of Silver and Goldsmith Schools (PLE) since 2009. Due to extroversion efforts IIEK develops and with the aim of the general upgrading of its educational program is constantly expanding its contacts through the European Erasmus+ programs with schools abroad.
PLE is an organization in which 17 European Vocational Education and Training schools participate in Jewelry. Every year at its annual conference which is usually held in May, it organizes the Pan-European Traveling Jewelry Exhibition with student works starting from December to September, while at the same time it announces jewelry designs and manufacturing competitions among the students. The exhibition started in Madrid in February, and then traveled to Valencia, Italy, France and Lisbon. From June 29 to September 29, it will be hosted at the I.I.E.K of Volos Municipality KEKPA-DIEK.

The President of KEKPA-DIEK Mrs Sofia Halari and the Vice President of IIEK Volos Municipality Mr. Efthimios Tzounis, have common targets about promoting and strengthening corresponding European actions, as they consider that participation in European Programs strengthen education and training of its students.
