In addition to the mobility programs that are implemented for our students outside of Greece, ISAEK of Volos Municipality, has for many years been an educational destination - as an Accredited host institution - for European students.
Three Students and the director of Janis Rosentals art school from Riga Latvia as well as six Students and a Professor of IATA ecole des bijoux from Namur Belgium, were hosted at I.S.A.E.K. for 2 weeks and attended courses at specialties of Jewelry, Ceramics, Graphic Design and Fashion Designer together with the Students of I.S.A.E.K.
As part of the mobility projects, the hosted Students created jewelry,ceramics and accessories - body ornaments, inspired by Hellas and contemporary Hellenic artists.
Artists who in our City are mainly Graduates - Professionals of our School, whom they visited in their workshops to learn about their work and data of the Hellenic market in relation to handmade creation. I.S.A.E.K. (I.I.E.K.) of Volos Municipality give regards to: O. Christakis (Urania Jewelry), M. Mitroulas (Maramilla Jewelry), G. Karagiouzis – L. Podaropoulou (39A Workshop of Handmade Ceramics and Jewelry), and A. Tsartsidou (no drama anna Ceramics) for their hospitality and valuable advice to the Students.
Five workshops were held during the two weeks: in Ceramics ΄΄creation of perforated ceramic elements for use in Jewelry`` with Ms. G. Katogia, in Clothing ΄΄Moulage & TR Cutting΄΄ with Ms. O. Oikonomou, in Jewelry ΄ ΄Oxygraphy - engraving on metal with acids`` with Ms. E. Kontouri, ΄΄Filigree technique ΄΄ and ΄΄Reticulation - molten metal technique`` with Ms. Argyrakou.
In addition to enhancing knowledge and skills, Erasmus+ projects bring participants into contact with the culture and monuments (historical and natural) of each country, for this reason the group visited the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the City, Tsalapata, Meteora and Athens.
